Carpets compared to Laminate Flooring, which do majority of homeowners prefer?
The obvious choice for bedrooms. Because they are softer and feels more luxurious under foot. There is a variety of styles and patterns to choose from. Also available in a range of different prices to suite your budget. Then there is the stain issue. Do remember that it can easily fray, depending on the thickness. A lot of dirt and dust are kept within a carpet which is not good for allergies.
Flooring on the other hand is a lot harder and more durable. Dirt can easily be wipes with a cloth or broom. Also remember that it will be colder in winter. The range is not as big as with carpets. It is available in all natural colours of real wood, and therefore the range is not as big as lets say ceramic tiles. For majority of home owners the look is what gives it the nod. Because of it’s authentic look and feel nothing can really compare to it. Sometimes even being confused with real wooden flooring. Some manufactures even has an actual grain on some of the planks.
